The Garrard’s Redcliffe Yearling Sale, to be conducted by Ebert & Co, will be held at Redcliffe Paceway on Sunday, starting at 12 noon.
The yearlings are being presented by 20 individual vendors including Kevin Seymour, Burwood Stud, Karina Johansen and Dr John Mammino, supplemented by a strong group of local breeders.
There are progeny of 16 individual stallions including the established imports Downbytheseaside, Rock N Roll Heaven, Stay Hungry, Captain Crunch, A Rocknroll Dance and Capt Midnight.
Leading colonial bred stallions like For A Reason, Bling It On, Ride High, The Storm Inside, Raging Bull, Franco Nelson and Colt Thirty One are represented, as is the former USA and Canadian Horse of the Year Pebble Beach.
Horses sold at the sale are all eligible for the 2YO Redcliffe Sale Race Classic in 2027 and the 3YO Classic in 2028, carrying minimum prizemoney of $175,000.
A vast majority of the yearlings are eligible for the lucrative QBred Scheme offering $4 million in stakemoney and bonuses. They are also paid up for State-based breeding schemes such as Vicbred, NSW Breeders Challenge, Bathurst Gold Crown and Cobbitty Equine Classic.
