Fresh off his Carrick Cup win last Sunday, the Wayne Yole-trained Fleetwood Rock ($6.90) collected more silverware when claiming the North West Tasmanian Light Harness Association Cup (2500m) at the final meeting of the summer season in Burnie on Friday.

Driven by Gareth Rattray, the nine-year-old entire produced his brilliant standing start manners to lead and dictate affairs in the $14,000 event, before outsprinting his rivals over the final 175m, to go on and score by five metres from Rockandahardplace ($7.20) and Rocks Roy ($15.60) in a mile rate of 2:04.7s.

It was the 23rd career win for the pacer at his first try in an Open Discretionary.

The win was one of four for the Yole stable, with Liam Older partnering both Away Game ($11.30) and Feelinkindalucky ($5.40), while Mark Yole was in the sulky for Captain Cheddar’s victory in the final race.

Gareth Rattray shared driving honours at the meeting with Older, with Gareth teaming up with the Neville Rattray-trained Alberio, who overcame a 10m handicap to win race two.

The Village Jasper gelding was the only winner that didn’t lead to win on the seven-race card, and he would be well placed for the Burnie Harness Racing Club’s horse of the year award, having raced at all eight meetings of the B.H.R.C summer season, recording four wins, three second placings and one third.

The win continued the good run for the Neville Rattray stable, with four wins this season, placing him equal eighth for the most wins in the state in 2026.

Favourite punters were on the board early with Cee Tee Chelsea ($1.50 fav) winning the first race for trainer-driver Charlie Castles.

The biggest winning margin of the night was the 15.8m victory of Jilliby Jay Sea ($3.30) with Jacob Duggan picking up the winning drive for the Tammy Langley stable.
