Young Dubbo horsewoman Jacqui Ingham is looking forward to the Australian Pacing Gold Sydney Yearling Sale at Warwick Farm on Sunday, March 15.

Ingham and Camden town planner Michael Brown have entered a lovely King Of Swing filly, who is closely related to the superstar pacer Lochinvar Art as Lot 241.

“This is my first one that I have offered and I’m pretty excited about it,” Jacqui said. “Five years ago I prepped yearlings while working for Kath McIntosh at Llowalong Farms in Victoria.”

Jacqui also served at Yirribee Pacing Stud, Wagga for eight months prior to its sale and the Dubbo Harness Racing Club and is currently employed by the Paint Horse Association of Australia.

“I met Michael while working in the office at the Dubbo club. At the time he was involved in the organisation of the J. C. Caffyn Plate, a series for indigenous drivers,” she said.

“Michael bought a mare called Roseuponher for me and his daughter. She was only the second horse I ever trained.

“She gave me my first winner as a trainer and driver in a heat of the Reward Series at Parkes and nine days later she won the Final at Bathurst.”

The sale entry is the second foal of Roseuponher. The first foal I Have Faith won as a three-year-old at Parkes.

Roseuponher ranks as a full sister to Lochinvar Art, the winner of 34 races – seven at Group 1 level - in Australia and North America including the A. G. Hunter Cup and Victoria Cup and $1.68 million in prizemoney.

Furthermore, she belongs to a noted female family that includes the Victoria Oaks winner My Cherie, Drunken Desire ($377,000), Mind The Wire ($259,000), Katie’s Secret ($150,000), Kaboom and the NSW country cups winner Ned Pepper.

“She’s a strongly built filly who looks like an early goer,” Ingham stated.
