Cranbourne – Sunday, 22 February 2026

Race 1:

OVERVIEW: SEA FURY (8) won impressively for the new stable first-up, working hard from a wide draw and proving too strong. This race doesn’t look any harder and despite the tricky backrow draw he can move early and be strong again late.
BELLA LOUISE (5) hasn’t had much luck with race shape lately but has been hitting the line well and with even luck can improve. STARZZZ DESTINY (9) resumes off one trial, and his form last campaign was solid, often in stronger grade. MONSIEUR FLAMEL (3) is a quick beginner chasing a hat-trick, but this is slightly tougher.

BACK: SEA FURY (8) – 2 units (win)

SELECTIONS: SEA FURY (8), BELLA LOUISE (5), STARZZZ DESTINY (9), MONSIEUR FLAMEL (3)

Race 2:

OVERVIEW: CALEDONIAN RANGER (3) is open to sharp improvement after things haven’t gone right his past three starts. He’s been well supported each time, and the draw allows him to find the top and dictate.
SHOTINTHEDARK (5) was good when resuming, finding the line well after no luck from a wide draw and will improve with fitness. SPORTY PHILTRA (8) raced in great heart last prep and resumes off one trial, tricky draw but must be respected. OLLIES MEDAL (10) can be a handful but has talent when his manners hold.

SELECTIONS: CALEDONIAN RANGER (3), SHOTINTHEDARK (5), SPORTY PHILTRA (8), OLLIES MEDAL (10)

Race 3:

OVERVIEW: Very challenging race. WEONA OUR RIGHTS (1) has shown good gate speed, and the pole draw is a major advantage. His recent races have been tougher than this and he can break through.
ARZALI ROCKSTAR (5) is a query off the trials, but stable strength keeps her safe. HOLD ON FOREVER (2) doesn’t present with great form, but debuts for a top trainer and must be respected. ILLUMINATE ME (7) has placed from better setups and does go ok, but faces a tricky draw.

SELECTIONS: WEONA OUR RIGHTS (1), ARZALI ROCKSTAR (5), HOLD ON FOREVER (2), ILLUMINATE ME (7)

Race 4:

OVERVIEW: A tricky start to the Quaddie. ALDEBARAN AXL (6) resumes off one trial and last prep was consistent, recording 10 placings from 11 starts at this track. This opposition is weaker than what he’s faced.
MILLY METER (2) begins well, can map economically and was sound last time. KICKABARREL (9) has always had market support and despite not delivering on that promise must be kept safe. BIG RAIN (3) had every hope on debut but should improve with experience.

SELECTIONS: ALDEBARAN AXL (6), MILLY METER (2), KICKABARREL (9), BIG RAIN (3)

Race 5:

OVERVIEW: VIVID DREAM (2) looks to have found the right race here after being very good when well up in grade his past couple. He showed good gate speed last time so can find the top from this favourable draw over the short trip. He won his maiden in good time and a repeat of that will see him too good here.
BINALONG MATE (8) has been good his past few from awkward draws where he’s found the line well and warrants respect despite another backrow draw. AMERICAN MICHI (4) won well at his debut performance, albeit the time wasn’t overly flash, he looks to have ability. SUMTHIN ELSE (3) resumes here, and her trials have been solid, and maps favourably to not be too far off the leading division.

BACK: VIVID DREAM (2) – 4 units (win)

SELECTIONS: VIVID DREAM (2), BINALONG MATE (8), AMERICAN MICHI (4), SUMTHIN ELSE (3)

Race 6:

OVERVIEW: KYVALLEY JUDGE (3) is looking to continue his unbeaten start to his career third-up here. This is a little harder than what he’s been exposed to, and despite having no gate speed he’s been winning his races with a bit in hand.
CENTURION DREAM (5) may see a positive map opportunity here and has been racing ok against stronger opposition. ANTONOV (4) stays in the same grade as his win last time out thanks to the junior claim and a repeat of that run has him right in it. JUST ABIT DUSTY (1) did things wrong last time but has a soft draw to race in a handy position.

BACK: KYVALLEY JUDGE (3) – 2 units (win)

SELECTIONS: KYVALLEY JUDGE (3), CENTURION DREAM (5), ANTONOV (4), JUST ABIT DUSTY (1)

Race 7:

OVERVIEW: We finish with the 1145m hot lap. FEEL THE BUZZ (3) is a veteran pacer having his first try over this short trip, but he hasn’t had much luck lately and this presents a winnable opportunity. His sectionals have been better than his numerical form suggests and he can map well.
KARDESLER (1) is a quick beginner and can improve on recent efforts in what looks a more suitable assignment. SIR CANDY CLOUD (4) ran well over a longer trip last time but hasn’t won for quite a while. Stablemate BLISSFULL LILLY (7) was a winner three back and runner-up under these conditions last time.

BACK: FEEL THE BUZZ (3) – 2 units (win)

SELECTIONS: FEEL THE BUZZ (3), KARDESLER (1), SIR CANDY CLOUD (4), BLISSFULL LILLY (7)

10-UNIT GAME PLAN

R5 #2 VIVID DREAM – 4 units (win)

R6 #3 KYVALLEY JUDGE – 2 units (win)

R7 #3 FEEL THE BUZZ – 2 units (win)
