Appeal Withdrawal, 12 September 2007 – Paul Trembath
The Queensland Harness Racing Board (QHRB) has today been advised that trainer Paul Trembath has withdrawn his Appeal against the severity of penalty, which was a disqualification of three months on two separate charges under Rules 209 and 245.
These penalties were imposed on 13 August 2007 as a result of evidence taken in the N Copeland Inquiry. Mr Trembath appealed and sought a stay of proceedings, which was granted by the RAT allowing Mr Trembath to continue on his activities pending the Appeal, which was to be heard on Monday 17 September 2007.
The RAT have advised that Mr Trembath’s application to withdraw his Appeal has been granted and therefore, his disqualifications of three months (which were to be served concurrently) will now take effect from 12 September 2007.
