HRNSW: Interruptions to Harvey

As some in the industry may be aware the national racing system, Harvey, has been offline since early Monday morning.

This has had a significant impact on all harness racing jurisdictions across Australia. The outage has disrupted almost every aspect of the business operations of each state.

In New South Wales the outage has affected the ability of staff to transfer the results of recent race meetings from Harvey to the general ledger system that processes the stakes run.

Accordingly until the system outage issue is remedied it will be necessary to delay the running of this week’s stakes system.

At this stage we understand that Harvey will be restored onto a new database and is expected to be operational either mid to late this afternoon or, worst case, overnight.

Unfortunately however it will then take between 48 and 72 hours to transfer the data from Harvey to the general ledger system to process the stakes run and make payments and produce statements.

Harness Racing NSW apologies for this inconvenience which is beyond our control.
