The use of Cobra Rio Sulkies was suspended on the 26th of July, 2023.
Harness Racing Australia’s (HRA) testing laboratory is still investigating and working through various tests to ensure the confidence of participants and regulators is maintained into the future.
While the current inconvenience to some participants is acknowledged by HRA, the safety of our participants and horses remains paramount.
While no timeframe can be specified at this time, the independent testers are continuing their work. It is not a simple process.
HRA will release the findings as soon as practicable following receipt.
