Bankstown Harness Racing & Agricultural Society has completed renovations to the surface and bends at the Paceway.
As evidenced by the photo’s taken on 27 July 2006 the grader was able to increase the positive camber of the bends by almost 2 degrees. This along with a fresh resurfacing and regular conditioning is in line with Australian Harness Racing Council’s recommendations of last year for clubs to present the best possible surface for racing and training.
Few tracks inAustralia can match Bankstown Paceway when it comes to horse numbers, and while down on the peak of 250 in training last decade, over 120 Standardbreds now call Condell Park home.
Club President Les Bentley along with his Board of Directors and Track Sub- Committee members Martin Herbert, Gary Leonard and John Palmer remain committed to further improvements to the track and to continue to increase the banking on the bends as much as funds allow.
With the upcoming Carnival of Cups being hosted on September 30th and record prizemoney being offered at the Paceway, Owners and Trainers are invited to a great night of racing here at Bankstown.
