The Dubbo Harness Racing Club has announced the date for the Red Ochre Mares Classic for the season 2005-2006.The heats will be run Thursday 27 April a TAB meeting, and the final on Saturday 29th April, a non tab meeting.
The Dubbo club is introducing for the first time a carnival for the three-day period. The heats Thursday, a calcutta on Friday night and final Saturday night.
We are hoping this will make it easier for travelling trainers not having to make two trips. The Dubbo showground has excellent facilities for trainer’s whishing to stop over.
The class of the race will once again be C4-C7 and C8 which have not won in their last six starts. The west Dubbo bowling club race record which is held by Clever Tune at 1.59.6 was not broken last year and will now jackpot to $1000.
The theme of ladies night out will continue with giveaways from Nivea Visage and sweepstakes on the Red Ochre.
The Dubbo club once again thank all the supporting studs that donated stallion services to raise the prize money for this series. We hope that all trainers would consider setting their mares for this series.
