HRA Industry Notice - Insain Bolt Sulky

Harness Racing Australia (HRA) has approved the use of the Insain Bolt Sulky, manufactured by Bolt Sulky Innovations Pty Ltd, for use in racing and trial events effective from 1 December 2016.

Under the approval process this Sulky has been tested for strength, durability and performance. This testing is performed by Human Impact Engineering.  The Sulky has also been used in trials under the supervision of stewards and has passed all aspects of the testing process.

The Sulky conforms to all the requirements of the HRA Sulky Approval Policy and meets the HRA Sulky Wheel Standards.

HRA takes the process of testing all gear and equipment very seriously as it impacts on the health and safety of all participants as well as the welfare of the racing horses.

HRA will continue to work with all manufacturers and distributors of gear and equipment to ensure that all new and altered products meet the relevant standards as set out by the industry.
