Form Analysis by Darren Clayton

RACE ONE

Stepping out in Qld for the first time OZZIE PUNTA (9) faced an inside second line barrier where he was soon shuffled back and locked away. Finding gaps late and hitting the line strongly, the deficit was under 3m from the winner COTCHINELLIE. Despite the second line, he can secure the trip.

AMAMI (11) can have a line out through the last placing at the most recent appearance, making an error soon after the field released. That was at standing start conditions which followed a tidy effort behind subsequent winner WHOS DELIGHT. Tempo will assist his closing challenge.

Holding the pocket trail from inside the second line two starts back, DOOO DONT THINK (5) darted through when the gap opened to take the W. SELECTIONS: DOOO DONT THINK (5), AMILLIONCHANCES (1), IDEAL DESIRE (7), WESTERN BILL (4)

SUGGESTED BET: DOOO DONT THINK (5) to win

RACE THREE

Resuming from a spell in a UDC heat, SON OF THE SHARK (3) was sent straight to the front and was never headed, pulling clear in posting a 17m margin. That had followed 3 runs from the second line and with his best work produced on the engine, he can repeat.

PUNTERS JEWEL (5) tackled a qualifier last time out when drawn wide and snagged back to find the poles. With the tempo against those chasing, the effort was sound and had followed a smart 2nd. Finding a spot near the action, he can throw down a challenge.

With the right set up and tempo last time out, ROCKTIME (8) descended on them to record a handy victory at 2138. Unable to get warm in the closing stages the start prior, he maps for the perfect trip from this gate and can make the closing shot a winning one.

B MAC C (9) is at his best with the soft trip. He can look for the poles here and following the shortest way home can chase a podium result.

RACE FIVE

A tough race made no easier by the middle trip that will sort a few contestants. MAJOR GENERALJUJON (9) should find a good trail in the early stages and be able to run the trip. A beaten fav last time at Redcliffe after an early error, he chased to finish midfield in a tidy performance. He can capitalise in this open contest.

INSTANT DELIGHT (2) is a trotter taking on the pacers as she did last time out at Redcliffe where she was sent out as fav from outside the second line. A return to the big deck and reinstated back into the main draw will assist her claims and she can look to throw it down.

MISS HATTIE (4) has placed at her past three, the latest when hitting the line in good order for the bronze behind LULU LUCIFER. The consistency will assist her claims.

RACE SIX

After a 2YO term that resulted in successive victories, NITRATOR (4) makes the return to kickoff for his 3YO season. The last start victory was strong from the front in smart time at Redcliffe and with an impressive preparatory trial, he can start the season in style.

OAKLEY SHARD (7) is a newcomer to the in-form Matt Elkins barn that will be resuming from a spell. A Tamworth winner two starts back when working wide on the track, her last start was back in October and with no public trial, stays under a big watch.

UCANCALLME AL (1) tried to take them all the way here two starts back, gripping on for the bronze behold the talented HAVTIMETODREAM. The gate is a huge plus.

Forced to sit parked at Redcliffe two starts back was a hurdle too high for THREENTWO (3) which faded to midfield behind the smart IMPERMISSIBLE. Beaten by gate 6 last start when retreating to the rear, an improved gate against this opposition can see her get forward, and if able to find the front, will be hard to hold out.

RAINBOW GAMBLER (8) had placed in successive runs leading into a victory on this deck at the mile. Settling in the trail, he showed the speed to dart through for victory. Making a late raid for silver at Redcliffe last start, he will be probing for the gaps to challenge.

ICANANDIWILL (9) had produced some handy performances leading into the last start when drawn the second line at the Redcliffe 2040. Descending on them to take the prize, she can chime in again.

VOLTAIN (4) was forced to roll the sleeves last start and work in the run. Finishing in fourth after the tough trip, she has been just behind the placings in four of her past five starts, including two starts back when striking trouble. A win is not too far away.

LAIN (3) was safely away and set the tempo last time out, holding on for the bronze when 5m from MAJESTIC BREEZE. Trotting cleanly can see him feature.

ITZ TRIXTON TIME (6) was locked away last start when finishing midfield. Fading after a good trip two starts back, he is a podium hope in this.
