Race 1
(9) PIROTIC did things wrong first 1st up as favourite, before sitting outside leader and narrowly going down last week. Should position closer than midfield with cover and looks to get her chance to break through here. (5) JUST LIKA DREAM has led and been runner up her past 2 starts, she will be looking to get across to the front here and looks the main danger. (3) SOHO PINA COLADA is 1st up for the Conor Crook stable so must be kept safe, has a history of breaking in her career, but has won a couple trials this year when she’s put it together. (8) MONTGOMERY LOMBO was good on debut but strikes an awkward draw, (11) GRAHJIL did things wrongs but showed ability on debut, whilst (12) SHIBASAKI hung both ways throughout her only trial for the Hillier stable, but did run up nicely when she straightened up the home straight.

Race 2
(9) PHOTO FIRST appreciated dropping back to the NMT2 grade last start when leading the 3 wide line from the 800m and getting beaten 1m, gets nice trailing draw again here to do the same. (2) IMA A LITTLE NEEDY broke his maiden win at Burnie before contesting much stronger 4yo sires races his past couple when well beaten, he could find the front here and return to his best. (6) MUZZAME MATE was dominant winning in the dynamo, before producing good sectionals out wide last week. Hillier jumps back aboard on who seems to get the best out of him, whilst (7) FAR LEFT FLETCH continues to race well, but will be relying on some speed here to get into the race late. (4) STANTON BREAK has been consistent whilst (3) POST KEG is a well bred 3yo who returns after a nice trial and could show improvement from past runs.

Race 3
(3) CEE TEE CHELSEA has showed signs of her best form her past couple runs , including last start when winning in fast time in a penalty free race which allows her to get in well in this grade, a repeat of that would see her winning here. (6) TALK IS CHEAP showed great gate speed to lead here last week and run a creditable 3rd, and expect Liam Older to attempt similar. (5) HAY MIKI was spotted hitting the line well last start behind horses that would be favourite here, and (9) JEREMY WELLS has reached the lowest class he has reached in a long time and made ground out wide last start, in a pegs dominated race, whilst (1) DANCINWIVJOELENE gets her chance from the pole draw, for the 5th time in a row.

Race 4
(4) MAGOMEDOV showed he was somewhat back to his best form when winning at $31.00 first up, and will head forward looking for cover again. (6) LIFEINTHEBALANCE trialled nicely but galloped just before the green light when in the market 1st up from a 2 year break, he could cross these if behaved and was asked to run the gate. (5) SMOKESCREEN finds an easier race that he has been racing against for a while and will be driven for luck as usual, whilst (2) MODERN JIVE will be the first to the pegs but prefers the mile, and (8) PUNTARNO STRIDE has returned to form and will be hoping gaps appear.

Race 5
Could see a fast first quarter here over the mile with (2) HARRYS DEAL and (4) MORRIS BROWN looking to find the front, leaning to (2) HARRYS DEAL who has been consistent without winning since arriving in the state. However cant ignore (4) MORRIS BROWN who held on for a good 2nd last week, and won in death seat start prior in 1.57 mile. (9) YARECKONIMSWEET has been flying home for numerous starts of late and loves a solid tempo over the short distance. (8) KENYA had found form again of late and will be relying on gaps to appear, whilst (3) CAN FEEL THE FURY should get a nice run in transit.

Race 6
(3) HORRIE OTARA and Brodie Davis have a good record when combining, and they look to get their chance again here. He may have to death seat, but his chances improve hugely if (1) GUENEVERES MADONNA hands up over the 2200m trip, where she can run an improve race from the draw. (8) NO NUKES SKIPPER and (9) SMOOTH DEAL both got nice pegs run to run 2nd and 1st last start in same race respectively , and look to get similar runs here and will be running home if gaps appear again. (2) ONLINE MODEL was good 1st up when winning for new stable, before finishing midfield last start, he could be sitting box seat and produce his best again.

Race 7
A small but even field round outs the night, where although (1) KOSTYUK LEIS is the lowest rating horse in field, she looks the likely leader over the mile, and only has to run up to previous starts to take catching here. (6) NANCESTIGER could be the danger after a strong 3rd previously, but will be relying on some speed early to get into the race, which may come from (5) REPETITIVE attempting to cross the (1) the first 200m. (3) JILLIBY MENDOZA is the highest rating horse by a fair way and battled on okay in death seat last start , whilst (4) TAMBROS TILLY is first up with no trial, but is a nice mare if fit enough.
