By Peter Wharton

All yearlings that enter the sale ring at Globe Derby Park on Sunday are eligible for the $20,000 Silver Salver Sales race to be staged in May 2023.

As well the five lots by local sire Major Secret are also eligible for the $24,000 SA Sires 2YO race – a classic restricted to progeny of South Australia-based stallions - to be run in late 2023.

The Hygain yearling parade will commence at 2pm followed immediately by the yearling sale.

Two broodmares will be offered after the yearling sale, one a half-sister to Bulletproof Boy ($294,655) and the other, Our Burning Desire NZ (dam of Gee Smith - 10 wins to date), in foal to Major Secret.

Bidders can register by completing the bid form on-line or you can register on the day at the sale office located next to the parade ring.

Intending purchasers who cannot attend the sale can appoint someone to bid on their behalf by notifying BOTRA prior to the sale.

BOTRA can also assist with phone bids to approved clients.

Printed copies of the catalogue are available at Globe Derby Park and country trotting tracks.

The online catalogue can be viewed here
