HOW would you like to own a Victoria Derby or Oaks winner?

Well, the upcoming Melbourne Australian Pacing Gold Sale could be your chance.

Not only will six APG purchases contest Saturday night’s editions of the prestigious Group Ones at Tabcorp Park Melton, four of them have siblings ready to enter the sales ring on February 2.

Two APG fillies - Soho Gloria Jane and Maajida – will contest the Oaks, while Hesty, Mach Dan, Pacifico Dream and Mirragon will represent APG in the Derby.

Winner of her heat, in which Soho Gloria Jane finished second, Maajida has a half-sister in the Sale.

From Arterial Way, which has a perfect strike rate from four foals, the filly is by Betting Line and will enter the ring as Lot 65.

Despite drawing the middle of the back row, Maajida is a $3.80 second favourite with TAB Fixed Odds.

Also drawn the second line Soho Gloria Jane is among the outsiders at $61.

Successful in his Blue Riband heat, Pacifico Dream is another which has fared poorly in the draw, with the son of Mach Three to come from gate nine.

From Mint Julep, Pacifico Dream also has a half-brother – by Art Major - poised to enter the ring.

An Emma Stewart-trained stablemate of Pacifico Dream, Mirragon is another with a half-brother ready to be sold.

From The Waratah, the colt is by Always Be Miki and will go ‘under the hammer’ as Lot 243.

Hesty rounds out the Derby contenders with half-brothers in the Sale….a colt from Four Zoe by Pet Rock, which is Lot 115.

Third in his heat, Hesty has drawn to upset his more fancied rivals from barrier two.

Away from the Classic contenders there are an additional 194 quality lots in the APG Sale.

The line-up breaks down to 119 colts and 81 fillies by leading sires such as Bettors Delight, Captaintreacherous, Four Starzzz Shark, Mach Three, Rock N Roll Heaven, Shadow Play and Somebeachsomewhere just to name a handful.

On the broodmare side of the families there are plenty of Group One winners and producers with athletic looking progeny ready to enter the Oaklands Junction Sales ring.

Stars with siblings in the Sale include Bling It On, Cruz Bromac, Big Bad John, Follow The Stars, San Carlo, Our Little General, Our Uncle Sam and Lumineer to name a few.
