In humid conditions Im Stately (Majestic Son/Shadows) made it 10 wins from 14 starts with a commanding win in the Harness Racing Training Centre Bendigo Central Victorian Trotting Championship Final.
Trained and driven by David Jack, the four-year-old, who started $2.80 favourite, always travelled well before kicking clear for a seven-metre win in the 2570m race.
Maybetothemax finished second and last season’s Derby champ Illawong Helios was third.
The winner’s mile rate was 2:04.6.
The Pacing Championship Final was another win for Smythes Creek trainer Emma Stewart and reinsman Gavin Lang, combining with highly regarded four-year-old Art Major/Secret Life entire Major Secret.
Major Secret stepped safely before working to the lead early.
He ran 57.5 for the last half and notched a 1:59.0 mile rate in the stand-start 2100m race on his way to a 4.7-metre win over Lohi Liz, with A Bit Ruthless third.
The winner paid a meagre $1.30.
