ARCEE Phoenix’s huge 2025 has snared him another title.

Chris Svanosio snared 10 points for a creditable fifth from a horror draw in last Saturday night’s Group 1 Bill Collins Trotters’ Sprint at Melton.

It was enough to break his deadlock with the sidelined Keayang Chucky and give him outright honours in the 2025 Australian Trotting Masters’ title.

Arcee Phoenix contested three legs, finishing third in the Group1 Hammerhead Mile, winning the Brisbane Inter Dominion final and his fifth in the Bill Collins.

He finished with 150 points.

Keayang Chucky got 40 points for third in the Great Southern Star and 100 points for the Hammerhead win for a total of 140.

Along with his Inter Dominion and Trotting Masters’ crowns, Arcee Phoenix crossed the ditch for a memorable win in the huge TAB Trot slot race at Cambridge in April.

Arcee Phoenix pleased Svanosio enough in the Bill Collins to chase more feature race success in two Group 1 races during the iconic NZ Cup Week, starting with the Dominion Trot on November 11.

If there was early betting on next year’s title, Keayang Chucky’s stunning stablemate Keayang Zahara would be a commanding favourite.

The brilliant young mare won the first of what will surely be many Grand Circuit races in the Bill Collins last Saturday.

Her closing splits of 54.9 and 26.4sec are the fastest ever run by a trotter at Melton.

Excitingly, connections have outlined plans to tackle the Great Southern Star early next year.

It’s part of chasing the new $500,000 bonus being offered by Harness Racing Victoria for any trotter who can three of the five country or regional trotting Cups in January-February (Shepparton, Bendigo, Ballarat, Cranbourne and Kilmore) plus the $250,000 Great Southern Star final at Melton on February 14.
