Mark Yole has been in peak form during February with nine of his twelve wins this season being recorded.
This weekend he takes the night off from the picturesque Burnie meeting on Friday and will head to Hobart on Sunday evening for three drives on the program as he looks for a winning hat-trick on Beat Sweet.
Hobart 2 March
Race 4 – Beat Sweet (Best of the night): I am excited to get the opportunity to drive this mare once again. She has been fantastic since arriving in the state, winning both her starts by a combined margin of 57 metres. This is a step up in class, but she is a very nice horse. From the draw I do not feel she has enough gate speed to lead early, so I will just play it as it comes. She has shown she can do it tough and also sprint quickly off a sit, so I have some options. However, the race pans out I expect her to be winning again.
Race 6 – Jimi Sanz: An okay effort first up from a spell last time out for this fellow. This race is a drop-in class from that race. The draw is a little tricky but if I can settle handy, he could be around the money if he has improved from that last run.
Race 8 – Spooky Girl: Another good run here last week. She did plenty of work and still battled on gallantly. The draw is a bit of a hinder, but she loves the mile trip and with any luck in running she should be right in the finish. I thought the run of Denny last week in Launceston was particularly good, so I do feel it is the main danger.
