It will be the fifth and final installment of the inaugural season of Harness Racing New South Wales’ revamped Carnival of Cups offering, which combines a high energy mix of iconic rock anthems and elite action on track.

Baby Animals and The Screaming Jets will be supported by Alex Lloyd who will perform his Triple J Hottest 100 chart-topping anthem Amazing as part of a trackside set in the build-up to the inaugural running of the $60,000 Goulburn Soldiers Club Merino Cup.

Racegoers will also be treated to the country rock talents of Robbie Mortimer who has previously wowed Carnival of Cups crowds in Tamworth and Albury.

“What a line-up and what a fitting way to bring down the curtain on an incredibly successful re-imagination of the Carnival of Cups concept,” HRNSW Chief Executive Peter Buckman said.

“These are some of the biggest bands this country has produced over the past 30 years and they’re going to be bringing all their hits to our race track in Goulburn for a day the city will never forget.”

“We can’t be happier with how Carnival of Cups has played out so far and I have no doubt Goulburn will deliver to the same high standards as our other host venues.”

“People have voted with their feet and certainly brought along their singing voices to a real celebration of music and harness racing. Goulburn is in for an absolute treat.”

More than 18,000 people have attended Carnival of Cups meetings in Cowra, Young, Tamworth and Albury since it re-launched in November.

Artists such as The Living End, The Whitlams, You Am I, Daryl Braithwaite, Adam Brand and Sarah McLeod have been among the star performers on the Carnival of Cups music stage.

Tickets for the Goulburn leg of Carnival of Cups on 28 April are available now. It’s FREE to attend but you do need to register for a ticket to get in. It will be scanned by security on arrival at the venue.
