AFTER a successful three years at the helm, Dan Boariu is departing his role as GM of RISE Racing.

Boariu, who has driven significant growth, finishes on May 19.

In the short term, the RISE Racing board has determined Harness Racing Australia CEO Andrew Kelly will assume a leadership role, working closely with the RISE Racing executive team as it transitions to a new organisational model, following Boariu’s departure.

RISE Racing Chair, Mr Graeme Campbell OAM paid tribute to Boariu’s contributions.

“We would like to thank Dan for his terrific leadership during an important time for RISE Racing,” Campbell said. “We wish him all the best in his next career step.”

Boariu said he was proud of the state he was leaving RISE Racing in.

“Over the past three years it has been my pleasure to work with a talented and dedicated team, and I am grateful for the opportunities provided to me,” he said. “I just think it’s the right time to pursue other opportunities and challenges in my career.

“I am proud of the progress made by the company during this time, including almost tripling the team and revenue, increasing company performance year on year and delivering 150 projects to date.

“Additionally, we have successfully engaged with major companies such as Tabcorp, Entain, Betfair, Sportsbet, and Mediality to commercialise products that have expanded our racing codes’ presence across Australia and the world.”
