Star young driver Jack Callaghan could reach a remarkable milestone in his career at Menangle today. 

The Group 1-winning reinsman is nearing 500 winners. 

After securing a win at Bankstown yesterday, Callaghan heads to Menangle today with 498 wins to his credit and the 21-year-old has seven drives locked in at the meeting. 

Callaghan began driving in the 2017/18 season driving three winners in his debut year. 

Last season was Callaghan’s best on record where he rounded out the term with 178 wins. 

Amongst those wins were five victories at Group 1 level. 

The youngest driver in Australia to reach 500 winners was Pete McMullen aged 20 and three months while the youngest driver in NSW to achieve the feat is Chris Geary at the age of 20 years and 10 months.
