Reigning Fremantle Cup winner Minstrel headlines a star-studded Free-For-All at Gloucester Park on Friday night.

Some of the state’s best pacers will do battle in the DTS – All Your Civil Construction Supply Needs Pace (2130m), which also sees the return of WA Pacing Cup runner-up Miracle Moose.

Another intriguing element will be the FFA debut of Lavra Joe, who has drawn barrier two.

Jumpingjackmac, who has had to overcome bad barriers at his past two starts, looks set to get a golden opportunity to score another victory from barrier one.

As well as Jumpingjackmac, trainer Gary Hall Snr will also have Diego (barrier three), Gambit (six) and Chicago Bull (nine)

Minstrel looks set to have his work cut out on return, having come up with barrier seven.

Three of the first four runners across the line in last week’s John Higgins Memorial will line up in the Direct Trade Supply – San Simeon (2130m).

John Higgins Memorial winner Mr Fantastic will have to overcome barrier eight in the feature, while runner-up Markham Eyre will also have a tricky task from barrier 12.

Last week’s impressive standing start winner Himself faces his biggest test in the $50,000 event, where he will start from barrier six.

Meanwhile, star three-year-old filly Wonderful To Fly could be back at Gloucester Park as early as next week.

The filly was scratched from her most recent assignment at Gloucester Park, due to a minor setback.

Trainer Shane Young said he was confident his stable star had turned the corner and was ready to go for a crucial campaign.

“She had trackwork last Saturday which she pulled up and worked fine,” he told TABradio.

“She will work tomorrow, Saturday and hopefully race Friday week.

“Then we are looking at trying to get her into the Country Oaks and hopefully the Westbred.

“Everything seems to be back on track.”
