COVID TESTS

HRNSW advises industry participants that a negative PCR COVID test will continue to be required in the Greater Sydney Area (Menangle, Penrith, Bankstown) until such time as the 80% double vaccination level is confirmed by NSW Government. Any Licensee attending a Metropolitan meeting, public training facility or trials in the Greater Sydney Area must email the result of a negative COVID test to stewards@hrnsw.com.au undertaken within a 7 day period prior to the race meeting.
 
HRNSW advises industry participants that attend race meetings in the Greater Sydney Area (Menangle) a negative COVID test result must be submitted to stewards@hrnsw.com.au before attending any Trials or Race meetings in their Region following the Menangle meeting. This will be required until such time as the 80% double vaccination level is confirmed by the NSW Government.

PROOF OF VACCINATION

Proof of vaccination is required to be provided to HRNSW before any person attends any race meeting, trials or public training facility.

Commencing with the Newcastle harness meeting on Monday 11 October 2021, if any licensed participant has not provided HRNSW with proof of vaccination prior to 9am on the day of a race meeting or trials, they will be unable to attend.

  • Greater Sydney (including Blue Mountains, Wollongong, Shellharbour and Central Coast)- Proof of both vaccinations required;

 

  • Regional areas- Proof of one vaccination required and second vaccination required prior to 1 November 2021.


Vaccination information, including COVID 19 vaccination certificates or Medicare immunisation certificates, can be sent to vaccine@hrnsw.com.au

Those documents can be obtained online or by contacting the Australian Immunisation Register
on 1800 653 809.

STABLEHANDS/ TRAINER’S REPRESENTATIVE

To facilitate the monitoring of the vaccination status for all licensed participants attending a race meeting or trials, Trainers are required to nominate a representative to act on their behalf if they are unable to attend a race meeting or trials, along with nominating a stablehand to accompany them on HARNESSWEB on their “MY NOMS” tab.

FACE MASKS

Face masks are still required to be worn by all licensed participants until further notice.
