The dream continued last night at Gloucester Park for catcher/clerk of the course Courtney Burch when Sergeant Oats took out the opening event at Gloucester Park.

How many trainers get the chance to train a winner at Gloucester Park and then to lead their horse back to scale for the obligatory photos and the accolades that go with a city win while riding a former Gloucester Park winner in his new Off The Track role.

For a young woman absolutely besotted with horses and harness racing it is her dream job.

The full story of Courtney Burch’s dual roles in harness racing is the cover story in the November/December edition of Racing and Wagering’s Harness WA Magazine which can be found at https://www.rwwa.com.au/media-centre/publications/
