A trots owner, trainer or driver for 69 years, Arthur Austin passed away on Saturday at age 90.
He gained his driver's licence at age 21 years in 1950 and Arthur's family says his highlights came "whenever his horses raced".
All horses that he raced were bred, broken in and shod by Arthur, including some of his favourites Truella Abbe and Bella Rhythm while other multiple winners were Destiny Deal, Freeway Drive, Truella Fella and Albert Austin.
A funeral service will be held at Howard Squires Bamford Chapel, 12–14 Emily St, Seymour, on Monday, March 18, from 11am. All welcome.
