RACE 4 – HUNTER RURAL PACE
Julie Mifsud, trainer of Another Mortgage, explained that the mare has been sent for a brief spell, since this event. Mr Mifsud added that Another Mortgage seemed to have recovered well, however may have been in need of a brief spell, prior to resuming work again.

RACE 7 – SOKYOLA SPRINT
Michael Stanley, trainer of Menin Gate, advised that blood tests taken from the gelding revealed it to be suffering from a virus. Mr Stanley added that other horses within his care, which have been tested, are also showing signs of a similar virus. Menin Gate and other horses within the care of Mr Stanley will treated prior to racing again.

RACE 7 – BAROOGA SPORTS CLUB PLATE (2ND HEAT)
Nathan Jack, stable representative for Amanda Turnbull, advised that a post-race veterinary examination in the days following the event, revealed the mare to be suffering soreness in various areas throughout the knees. Acting upon veterinary advice the mare has been spelled for 3 months.

RACE 3 – LASER ELECTRICAL KERANG PACE
Ted Caruana, trainer of Admiral NZ, advised that the gelding has been revealed to be suffering soreness across the back area. Mr Caruana added that Admiral NZ will undergo treatment prior to trialing again.
General
Following recent stable inspections it was revealed that Trainer Julian Attard failed to maintain a sufficient record of treatments in a log book. Mr Attard was fined $200 under Rule 190(B)(1).
