Sunshine Stars Yearling Sale on Sunday

The Ladbrokes Sunshine Stars Yearling Sale will be conducted by Nutrien Equine and hosted by the Albion Park Harness Racing Club on Sunday, starting at 12 noon.

The entry totals 68 yearlings and breeders from Queensland to South Australia are represented.

Some 27 individual sires have progeny in the sale including the leading stallions Sweet Lou, Art Major, Bettor’s Delight, Always B Miki, American Ideal, Captaintreacherous and Downbytheseaside and the emerging, young sires King Of Swing, Cattlewash, Bettor’s Wish, Captain Crunch, Stay Hungry, Tall Dark Stranger, The Storm Inside, Huntsville, Capt Midnight, Classic Connection and Dancinginthedark M.

A feature of the sale will be the first crop of the highly touted Pebble Beach, the brilliantly fast Catch The Fire and the trotter King Of The North.

The yearlings include some royally bred youngsters with some top class racemares such as        Jasper, Cat King Cole, New York Fashion, Vista Bella, Spidergirl, My Arya and others.

Among the offering are siblings to the Group or Listed winners Expensive Ego, Speak The Truth, Tardelli, Tin Tin Jo, Talent To Spare, Chamonix, More Sass, Namaka, Corporal Luna, Chicago Bart, Beachbabe Crocker and Art’s Treasure and the trotters Always Ready, Love Gun, Victree Hill and Ajay Volstead.

“The catalogue is by far the strongest ever assembled in Queensland,” Albion Park chairman Greg Mitchell said.

Judging for the best presented colt and filly will be held between 8.30 and 10 on the morning of the sale. The winners will receive free entry into both the Nutrien national race series and the Sunshine Stars race series if purchased on the day valued at $3,500 each.

The sale will be livestreamed on the Nutrien Equine Standardbred website.
