Harness Racing New South Wales (HRNSW) Stewards, acting under the provisions of Australian Harness Racing Rule 183 (a), (c) & (d), have suspended the Trainer’s licence of Mr Michael Leary today after receiving advice from the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory (ARFL) that Peptides VYSNFLR (T17 fragment), VNFYAWK (T6 fragment), SLTTLLR (T11 fragment), YLLEAK (T4 fragment) and TITADTFR (T14 fragment) were detected in the pre-race blood sample taken from MIGHT AND VICTORY prior to race 6, the NUTRIEN EQUINE NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE 3YO COLTS AND GELDINGS HEAT - ROUND 1 (1609 metres) conducted at Newcastle on Friday 26 September 2025.

The ‘B’ sample was confirmed by Racing Analytical Services Limited (RASL) in Victoria.

HRNSW Stewards considered all available information, together with a submission from Mr Leary prior to the imposition of Australian Harness Racing Rule (AHRR) 183.

Mr Leary was informed of his right to appeal this decision.

A date for the Inquiry has not been scheduled at this time.
