Cobram 28/12

R1 – 1:24pm – Katamatite Football Club 2025 Premiers GVC Pace (1st heat) - 1670m

3 – With In Reason

2 – Skyfall Benchmark

5 – Red Shores

1 – Highview Hammer

Strategy:

With In Reason is in a real purple patch of form, chasing a third straight win. He’s been tough in both recent victories and from similar draws in the past has shown enough gate speed to either lead or race prominently. The short trip and his current fitness profile are clear positives.

BACK: 3 With In Reason - 2 Units (win)

R2 – 1:54pm – MDP Plumbing GVC Pace (2nd heat) – 1670m

2 – Lilstrepo

4 – I Am On Therun

9 – Bringusjoy

1 – Aliza Hill

Strategy:

Lilstrepo has been in excellent form since joining the in-form Alex Ashwood stable, winning seven races this season. She has good gate speed and enough versatility to take a sit if required, which gives her plenty of tactical options from this draw.

BACK: 2 Lilstrepo - 3 Units (win)

R3 – 2:29pm – Peter Ennals Memorial Pace – 2170m

4 – Tophut Johny

8 – Home And Dry

5 – Feel The Knight

1 – Ohhemmjay Cresco

Strategy:

Tophut Johny finds a much more suitable draw to bounce back to winning form. He looks likely to press forward and find the lead, is a proven winner at this track, and his recent form has been solid despite tougher setups than this.

BACK: 4 Tophut Johny - 3 Units (win)

R4 – 3:04pm – Bob Watson Memorial Maiden Trot – 2170m

9 – Sammy Haller

8 – Farstar

3 – Aldebaran Zane

6 – Sayaprayerforme

R5 – 3:39pm – Shepparton Cup 17th January Vicbred Voucher Maiden Pace – 2170m

6 – Full Crunch Ahead

1 – Piastri

5 – Hezaflashone

2 – The Trawler

R6 – 4:19pm – Central Murray Bank Cobram Trotters Cup – 2678m

4 – El Conqueror

6 – Rapid Return

7 – Avant Guard

8 – Kings Guard

R7 – 4:58pm – Lloyd Sound GVC Trot (1st heat) – 2170m

8 – Settle The Bill

3 – Wallis

10 – Abbie

4 – I Am Harro

R8 – 5:33pm – Jim Phillips Memorial Cobram Pacing Cup – 2678m

8 – Herakles

10 – Alwaysbealady

9 – La Cavalletta

7 – Im All Business

Strategy:

Herakles was well up in grade last start in the Gunbower Cup and still performed strongly, finishing fourth. The conditions of the Cobram Cup suit him much better, and from this softer draw he can be saved for one run and finish hard at good value.

BACK: 8 Herakles - 2 Units (win)

R9 – 4:19pm – Central Murray Bank Cobram Trotters Cup – 2678m

11 – Tex Goes Bang

6 – Lorimermajor

5 – Bettorsweetvictory

13 – Regal Rock

QUADDIE (Races 5-8)

1,2,5,6

1,2,4,6,7,8

3,4,8,10

6,7,8,9,10

$96 = 20%
