Due to the substantial growth of activities within the HRNSW Finance team, HRNSW has a fantastic opportunity for a suitable candidate to join the team.

 

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Officer, the full-time position of Accounts Officer will be responsible for providing a wide range of assistance to the Finance team, including:

 

  • Daily cash application, including deposits at branch
  • Manual invoicing
  • Answer queries from customers following the fortnightly stakes run, process bank account changes and credit card payments
  • Statewide Stakes Payment Processing
  • Stakes Rejected Payment follow ups
  • Daily Race Data Imports
  • International payments
  • Account reconciliations
  • Club invoicing
  • Reception relief
  • Other duties as required

 

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar program is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good inter-personal skills and the commitment to working in a team environment
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work to tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
  • An understanding of the Harness Racing industry is desirable, however not essential

 

This role will be based in the Sydney Metropolitan Area.
