Former Grand Circuit stars Zeuss Bromac and Auckland Reactor will join fellow Kiwi Highview Tommy at Mal Diebert’s Yanko Lodge, Yanco (NSW) for the upcoming season. They are a formidable trio of colonial bred stallions.

Zeuss Bromac, a New Zealand bred son of Bettor’s Delight, competed with real distinction in elite company throughout his seven-year racetrack career.

A finalist in the Breeders Crown at two, Zeuss Bromac put an exclamation mark on his career when he led throughout to beat a class field in the $200,000 Breeders Crown 3YO Final at Melton, ripping home his final quarter in 26.7 seconds.

Among his other major race successes were the $100,000 Ainsworth Free-for-all, $50,000 Hondo Grattan Sprint, Newcastle Cup, Vic Frost Cup and the Kevin Robinson Memorial in which he took his record of 1:49.4. He was also placed in the Len Smith Mile in 1:48.8, the Chariots Of Fire in 1:48.9 and the J. D. Watts Memorial.

In all, Zeuss Bromac won 14 races with 30 placings from 77 starts for $515,734 in stakes.

Zeuss Bromac lacks nothing on the score of blood. Apart from being by Bettor’s Delight, whose sons as sires are now making an impact, Zeuss Bromac is out of the Mach Three mare Zeta Bromac (1:55.5), a sister to the Group 1 winner Savvy Bromac, being out of Zante Beach, by Fake Left and tracing to the Bachelor Hanover mare Madame Han, whose family today is one of the best in the Australian stud book.

It includes the ‘Cups King’ Safari, the Derby winners Garnet River and Astronaut, the Vicbred champions Our Maid Marianne and Don’t Hold Back, Gemfire and The Godine Machine.

Zeuss Bromac is standing his first season at stud.

Auckland Reactor, a dual NZ Horse of the Year and six-time Group 1 winner of $1.7 million, was first at the stud in NZ and has been standing in Victoria for the past few years.

To date the superstar son of Mach Three has sired the winners of almost $19 million in Australia, NZ and North America. He has left 39 $100,000 earners, 53 in the 1:55 list and a host of Group and Listed winners.

Among his winners have been the NZ 3YO of the Year and Derby winner Chase Auckland ($802,000), Soho Burning Love (1:48.2) and the Group/Listed winners Reactor Now, Willie Go West, Plutonium, Shining Oro, Accelere, Sergei, Bridwood Bella and Gold Reactor.

Auckland Reactor has left 40 individual winners for progeny earnings of $725,000 already this season in Australia and NZ.

Highview Tommy, the former NZ 2YO Colt of the Year and Harness Jewels winner, continues to churn out winners on both sides of the Tasman from relatively few runners.

Actually, the Bettor’s Delight horse has a terrific strike rate with his Australian-bred stock, having sired 22 winners from 30 starters at an average of $33,000 per starter.

They include the good Albion Park winners Kuzma ($185,854) and Harry Kane, the Group 3 Perth winner Benji, the $100,000 earners Tiger Tommy and Most Triumphant, Tommy Bligh and the promising Riverina mare More Gooda.

The service fee for the trio will be $3,000 including GST and all veterinary and agistment costs.
