Finalists Announced for 2024 NSW Awards

Harness Racing New South Wales is pleased to reveal the finalists for the upcoming Gallagher NSW Horse of the Year Awards following some spectacular performances during 2024.

Voting has taken place by a judging panel of racing media personalities ahead of HRNSW’s awards ceremony on Sunday, March 2.

To be held in conjunction with the all-important barrier draw for the $1million Garrards Horse and Hound Miracle Mile at Menangle Country Club, there are 13 awards for our racing equine stars.

Last season, Swayzee (pictured) was crowned NSW Horse of the Year and there is an array of quality horses looking to claim the title for 2024.

The nominations are:

Kevin Newman Award for Driving Excellence
