Laraine in the HRA Library

On any given day, we jump in our car, start the engine and drive off. Sure we know there are a lot of parts under the bonnet that are working hard to drive us to where we want to go.

This week at Harness Racing Australia we celebrate the contribution of a widely unheralded part of the machine, Laraine Rischitelli.

Laraine has surpassed a milestone of 20 years service. Whilst, roles and responsibilities are wide and diverse, Laraine has been at the centre of approximately 10,000 clearances and 100,000 naming’s, from ‘Aapennon’ right through to ‘Zulu Courage’, and everything in between.

Whilst many adventurous owners have tried some adventurous names, Laraine has a process of finding out those that bit too adventurous, something HRA CEO Andrew Kelly commented on,

“We have an unwritten rule not to check Laraine’s computers search history, as I am sure she has had to search some indifferent words.”

“In the time I have been at HRA, I have witnessed Laraine’s unwavering commitment to the industry, and a milestone like this is a great opportunity to stop and acknowledge that.”
