Nominations closing soon for 2024 Inter Dominion

The time-honoured Inter Dominion Grand Circuit series returns to New South Wales in 2024.

Hosted across three different venues, Australasia’s finest pacers and trotters will showcase elite harness racing in major regional towns across the state.

The series will start in Newcastle before heading west to Bathurst and then Menangle.

The key race dates are as follows:

  • First round of heats – Newcastle November 29 (2030m)
  • Second round of heats – Bathurst December 4 (1730m)
  • Third round of heats – Menangle December 7 (2300m)
  • Grand Finals and Consolation – Menangle December 14 (2300m)

Like recent editions of the series, there are a ‘Golden Ticket’ races to boost rankings.

‘Golden Ticket’ events for the pacers includes winners of the:

  • The Eureka (Menangle) –  September 7, 2024
  • Battle of Beersheba (Menangle) – October 26, 2024
  • Kilmore Pacing Cup (Kilmore) – September 27, 2024
  • Kaikoura Cup (New Zealand) – November 4, 2024
  • Queensland Cup (Albion Park) –  November 9, 2024
  • Caduceus Classic (Melton) – November 16, 2024

Meanwhile, ‘Golden Ticket’ for the trotters includes the winners of the following:

  • Elitlopett (Sweden) – May 26, 2024
  • Tony McGrath Cup (Tabcorp Cup Menangle) – October 26, 2024
  • Kilmore Trotting Cup (Kilmore) -  September 27, 2024
  • Kaikoura Trotting FFA (New Zealand) –  November 4, 2024
  • Spring Sprint (Albion Park) – November 9, 2024
  • Australian Trotting Grand Prix (Melton) – November 16, 2024

Nominations for the 2024 Inter Dominion Championships close on September 30.
