Harness Racing New South Wales (HRNSW) Stewards, acting under the provisions of Australian Harness Racing Rule 183 (a), (b), (c) & (d), have today suspended the Trainer and Driver’s licence of Mr Jack Trainor after receiving advice from the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory (ARFL) that Levamisole had been detected in the pre-race blood sample taken from MANHATTAN NZ prior to race 2, the CONDELL PARK PRODUCE BABY BLING STAKES (1609 metres) conducted at Tabcorp Park Menangle on Saturday 9 March 2024.
The ‘B’ sample was confirmed by Racing Analytical Services Limited (RASL) in Victoria.
In addition, Harness Racing New South Wales (HRNSW) Stewards received advice from the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory (ARFL) that Levamisole had been detected in the post-race urine sample taken from MANHATTAN NZ following its win in that race.
The reserve portion and control solution were confirmed by RASL in Victoria.
HRNSW Stewards considered all available information, including submissions on behalf of Mr Trainor, prior to the imposition of Australian Harness Racing Rule (AHRR) 183.
Mr Trainor was informed of his right to appeal this decision.
A date for the Inquiry has not been scheduled at this time.
