HRNSW has previously issued notices to Trainers in relation to the use of log books and reminded Trainers of their obligations pursuant to Australian Harness Racing Rule (AHRR) 190B.

For further clarity in relation to the information that is recorded in the log book, HRNSW Stewards provide the following directions to Trainers:

  1. Trainers are directed to record the registered name of the horse for which a treatment is recorded and NOT the stable name.

In the case of an unnamed horse, the breeding of such horse is to be recorded including year of birth, Dam and Sire;

  1. In addition to the date being recorded for a treatment, Trainers are directed to record the time at which a treatment is provided.

Trainers are also reminded that the only log books that are to be used are the Official HRNSW Log Books that are issued by HRNSW and have a unique serial number.

If any licensed Trainer has not been issued with a log book or has misplaced their log book, please contact HRNSW Stewards.

If anyone requires further information please contact HRNSW Integrity Department on (02) 9722 6600.
