Pacing For Pink is back for 2023, and Club Menangle is excited to announce our involvement in the campaign, which supports the McGrath Foundation throughout May.

Breast Cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia for women.* The McGrath Foundation's mission is to ensure that no one goes through breast cancer without the care of a breast care nurse.

Pacing For Pink, an initiative founded in Victoria, will be an Australian-wide campaign for the second consecutive year, with drivers from all states voluntarily donning the pink pants.

Marg Watson, Pacing For Pink Coordinator, said, "We aim to raise as much money as we did last year, $140,500, which was enough to sponsor and educate a nurse.

We are delighted to have NSW Harness Racing participating and are thrilled that Club Menangle is also on board again.

In NSW alone, there are around 73 drivers who will wear the pink pants. It is very encouraging that many young drivers have also wanted to participate in the campaign.”

Like in 2022, Club Menangle will hold nine race meetings throughout May and has committed to donating the following to Pacing For Pink:

•$200 for each win recorded by a driver in the Pink Pants at Club Menangle

•$200 for each female training win recorded at Club Menangle

•$200 for each win that is recorded by a horse carrying saddlecloth Number 8 at Club Menangle

Club Menangle CEO Bruce Christison said, "Following our involvement in 2022, we are again looking forward to another successful Pacing For Pink campaign in 2023.

The Harness Racing industry has an incredible track record of working together for charitable causes, and no doubt we can all make a significant difference in raising funds and awareness throughout May for Pacing For Pink."

On Tuesday, 30 May, Club Menangle will host the second edition of our Pacing For Pink High Tea. Tickets are $60pp, with a portion of each ticket sold going to Pacing For Pink. The High Tea promises to be a fun-filled afternoon to coincide with our Tuesday race meeting, featuring guest speakers, raffles and a complimentary glass of bubbles on arrival for all attendees. Race sponsorship packages are also available.

Tickets are now on sale for the Pacing For Pink High Tea. Please visithttps://www.clubmenangle.com.au/events/pacing-for-pink-high-tea/ for more information.
