Bathurst trained filly Windy Hill Tara caused one of the biggest upsets at her local track last week.

The Group 1 winner beat the undefeated filly Major Delight in a heat of the Gold Bracelet.

The pair will face each other in tonight’s $100,000 final at Bathurst tonight.

Despite that result, Major Delight remains the TAB Fixed Odds favourite for the test with Windy Hill Tara an $8.50 chance.

Windy Hill Tara has won her last two starts, including the NSW Oaks.

Prepared by Steve Turnbull, the leading Bathurst horseman will also be chasing his first success in the Gold Crown tonight as a trainer.

Turnbull has qualified Misterfourthousand for the $150,000 Group 1, a pacer named in his honour after reaching a record 4000 wins as a trainer last year.
