RACE 3 – CARIBU TROT (2200 MS)

Brent Lilley, trainer of Aldebaran Keepa NZ, advised subsequently from the event the mare to be displaying signs of a virus and has been treated accordingly.  Mr Lilley advised he would continue with the current preparation.

RACE 5 – E B COCHRAN TROTTERS CUP (GROUP 3) (2200 MS)

John Justice, trainers of Mufasa Metro NZ, advised subsequently from the event blood tests failed to reveal any abnormalities. Mr Justice attributed the performance to the gelding being first up since 10th December 2022 and would derive benefit from the performance and would continue with the current preparation.

RACE 7 – PETstock BALLARAT PACING CUP (GROUP 1) (2710 MS)

Michael Stanley, trainer of Rock N Roll Doo NZ, advised subsequently from the event the gelding underwent a full veterinary & endoscopic examination by the stable veterinarian which failed to reveal any abnormalities other than general soreness in the hocks which will be monitored. Mr Stanley advised Rock N Roll Doo NZ has been given a light week and would continue with the current preparation.

RACE 6 – WEIR'S CENTRAL VICTORIAN TROTTING CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL (2520 SS)

Andy Gath, trainer of Just A Bit Touchy, advised subsequently from the event blood tests revealed the mare displaying elevated white cell count which they felt was consistent with heat stress as identified immediately post-race. Mr Gath advised he would continue with the current preparation.
