Driver Chris Geary will chase feature glory in the $50,000 Raith Memorial at Tabcorp Park Menangle tonight.

WITH three wins in his first 13 drives this season, the year has started strongly for driver Chris Geary.

At the age of 25, Geary’s drives have ticked over more than $7million in stakes.

The young reinsman faces his first major feature for the season in tonight’s $50,000 Harness Breeders NSW J.L. Raith Memorial at Menangle where he will partner Miss Hornigold.

The three-year-old filly won with Geary at the reins two starts ago at Penrith where she broke her maiden clocking 1:58.8.

The feature has attracted fillies from all over the state including the Hunter Valley-trained Threebushelsofoats.

Trained by Aaron Goadsby, Threebushelsofoats will be driven by champion reinsman Luke McCarthy for the first time in her 13-start career.

The filly has strong form going into the feature winning her last three starts.

McCarthy has drives in seven of the eight races tonight including on talented pacer Cantfindabettorman, who is resuming from a spell in race four, as well as Expensive Ego in race six.
