The fantasy is now a reality with Harness Racing New South Wales officially launching its new fan engagement game Fantasy Harness Racing.

A fortnight since announcing its pending arrival, the platform was activated this morning, giving harness racing fans across the world the chance to participate in this industry-first concept.

Fantasy Harness Racing will focus purely on the on-track results of drivers across New South Wales during the first six months of 2023, with an incredible array of prizes up for grabs.

Results on selected tracks will equate to a points-scoring system, with players able to select the squad of drivers that they think will earn them the highest tally for the round.

They will be able to trade drivers in and out of their team on a weekly basis and participate in public and head to head leagues among friends and family.

More than 200 drivers have been priced based on past performance and are available for selection across four regions. Players are allocated a salary cap of $14.4 million to choose their squad of 22 drivers.

“This is an exciting initiative as we look to broaden the reach and profile of our sport here in New South Wales,” Harness Racing New South Wales Chief Executive John Dumesny said.

“I would encourage people to get in and register a team straight away and share the platform with everyone they know to ensure they’re part of what is going to be a fantastic new way of engaging with harness racing in New South Wales.”

Fantasy Harness Racing is open to all ages with the first points scoring round commencing on Tuesday, 10 January, 2023.

Registration is free. Just head to fantasyharnessracing.com to get your team started!
