NSW: COVID-19 - Test Results

Any licensed participant who has obtained a positive result to a COVID test (either PCR or Rapid Antigen Test) MUST immediately provide HRNSW Stewards with the details of the positive result, including the date of test.

In addition, any licensed participant who obtains a positive result to a COVID test (either PCR or Rapid Antigen Test) must follow NSW Government Health requirements, self-isolate for seven (7) days and;

  • Only leave self-isolation if you do not have a sore throat, runny nose, cough or shortness of breath;
  • If you have a sore throat, runny nose, cough or shortness of breath in the last 24 hours of your isolation, please remain in isolation until 24 hours after your symptoms have resolved

Any licensed participant who becomes aware that they are a close contact MUST immediately advise HRNSW Stewards and follow NSW Government Health requirements including the following:

  • Self-isolate for seven (7) days;
  • Undertake a Rapid Antigen Test immediately and again on Day 6;

Participants are reminded of Australian Harness Racing Rule 238:

AHRR 238 – A person shall not fail to comply with any order, direction or requirement of the Controlling Body or the Stewards relating to harness racing or the harness racing industry.

HRNSW management reminds all industry participants of the available industry support program.
