Harness Racing Australia (HRA) are pleased to announce the 2021 Globe Derby Awards – proudly sponsored by IRT.

The Globe Derby Awards celebrate the sports leading Sires.

Bettors Delight USA consolidated himself as one of the greatest sires in harness racing history in winning his tenth consecutive Leading Sire by Stakemoney award with his progeny earning stakemoney of $13,180,147.

With the Globe Derby Awards established in 1976, Bettors Delight’s tenth Leading Sire by Stakemoney title makes him the most prolific winner of this category, surpassing Thor Hanover USA who won from 1976 to 1984 (inclusive).

The Woodlands Stud sire continued his complete domination of the Globe Derby Awards in also taking out the Leading Sire by Winners category with 425 winners – the sixth consecutive year he has won this title and 2021 was the also the 6th time that he has won the Leading Juvenile Sire by Stakemoney.

Majestic Son CA was again the Leading Trotting Sire by Stakemoney for the 6th year running. Progeny by Majestic Son CA won a total of $2,807,365 highlighted by the four-time Group One winning two year old Plymouth Chubb.
