On 31 May 2021 Harness Racing New South Wales (HRNSW) Stewards conducted an Inquiry and disqualified Ms Amanda Turnbull for a period of 3 months to commence immediately.
On 1 June 2021 Ms Turnbull appealed against the decision of the HRNSW Stewards and applied for an urgent Stay of the Steward’s decision.
On 3 June 2021, the NSW Racing Appeals Tribunal advised that it was of the preliminary opinion that the stay be refused and stated that solely because of the urgency of the application.
On 4 June 2021, Ms Turnbull sought injuctive relief in the NSW Supreme Court. Consequently, an interim injunction was granted until 9am on Wednesday 9 June 2021.
On 8 June 2021, the NSW Racing Appeals Tribunal granted Ms Turnbull a Stay. Consequently, the hearing for the Supreme Court injunction was vacated.
