Young horseman Ray Lennane was still training winners at the age of 79.

THE harness racing industry was saddened to learn of the passing of Young horseman Ray Lennane.

Ray passed away last Friday, aged 83.

Ray was involved in the sport for many years and his last winner as a trainer was Amazing Discovery at his local track, Young, on December 2, 2014.

This victory made Ray one of the oldest people in New South Wales to train a winner. Ray was 79 at the time.

A funeral service to celebrate Ray’s life will be held on Tuesday (May 29) at 11am at St John’s Anglican Church, Young.

Harness Racing NSW extends its deepest sympathies to Ray’s family and friends.
