HRNSW has opened an inquiry into the reasons Trainer Mr R Clement presented and raced BANYULA FELLA NZ instead of FINAL COUNT in Race 2 at the Narrabri harness meeting on Saturday 8 March 2013. BANYULA FELLA NZ was entered to raced in Race 5 on the program.
It was established subsequent to the All Clear, that Mr Clement had presented and raced the wrong horse.
Stewards have taken evidence from Mr Clement, Mr V Brennan the person responsible to checking the horses onto the track, both licensed bookmakers and owner Mr A Boyd. HRNSW has also take possession of the bookmaker records for the race.
The inquiry has been adjourned until a date to be fixed..
