Trainer/Driver Mr Glenn McElhinney – Improper Conduct

Harness Racing NSW today inquired into the conduct of Trainer/Driver Mr Glenn McElhinney in the Stewards Room at the Penrith Harness meeting on Thursday 15 March 2012.

Mr McElhinney pleaded guilty to a charge of improper behaviour under AHRR 247. The particulars of the charge being that, during the course of an inquiry at Penrith on Thursday 15 March 2012 he spoke in an improper manner towards the Stewards.

In considering penalty the Stewards took into account Mr McElhinney’s:
• Guilty plea
• Disciplinary record

Mr McElhinney was fined the sum of $1,000 however, under the provisions of AHRR 256 (5) (a) the Stewards suspended the sum of $500 for a period of 12 months conditional on Mr McElhinney not re-offending during that period.
