Smoken Up will start favourite in the SEW-Eurodrive Victoria Cup at Tabcorp Park

Tomorrow night Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) will be the first racing code to stream live on the internet entirely from a Group 1 race meeting.

The SEW-Eurodrive Victoria Cup is set to be the greatest race in 20 years and HRV now have the power to bring all the atmosphere from the night to the masses. Tomorrow night’s coverage will include all the action from around the course including race previews, driver & trainer interviews, victory presentations and more.

HRV Chief Executive John Anderson said, “The live streaming of premier race meetings is a great use of technology and exposes our product to a worldwide audience. The coverage tomorrow night should bring viewers an up close and personal view of what is happening on course at Tabcorp Park, Melton.

“With the SEW-Eurodrive Victoria Cup set to be a hotly contested race it is the perfect opportunity to launch this initiative. The feedback from industry participants is that this initiative is great for those who can’t attend the night but still want to be part of the experience.”

“Our trial of streaming the critical Victoria Cup Barrier Draw was very well received and, amazingly, attracted viewers all around the globe”, Mr Anderson said.

Coverage will commence at 5.45pm (EDST) and conclude at 11.00pm (EDST). Join our hosts Rob Auber and Mick Guerin for all the trackside action. Go to www.viccup.com.au to access streaming.

The initiative is also being supported by Tabcorp who will have a link to the coverage on their website.

The coverage will include delayed vision of the actual races due to Sky Racing contractual agreements however live race audio will be available.
