The Inter Dominion Event Committee awarded the Our Sir Vancelot Distinguished Service Award to Blacks A Fake at the 2011 Christchurch Casino Inter Dominion Barrier Draw function.

This was the first time this award had ever been presented and in making the announcement, Harness Racing Australia Chairman, Mr Geoff Want said, “This Award recognises important achievement, substantive effort and enterprise, endeavour and creativity, something Blacks A Fake has in spades".
“It is fitting that in the lead-up to his sixth Inter Dominion Grand Final we acknowledge his outstanding achievements and salute him as the first Standardbred to receive this award”.
This honour adds to Blacks A Fake’s three Australian Horse of the Year Awards in 2007, 2008 and 2010 as well as induction into the Inter Dominion Hall of Fame in 2009.
His Inter Dominion record has no peer with 4 Grand Final wins from just 6 appearances. He has competed in a total of 19 Inter Dominion heats plus finals, for 11 firsts, 4 seconds, 1 third and over $2.6m in prizemoney.
Trainer/driver Natalie Rasmussen received the award on behalf of Blacks A Fake and his owners.
