Dubbo Harness Racing Club Red Ochre organiser Brett Wrigley has finalised a list of stallion services that will be put up for tender and running until Friday 27th August 2010 at 4pm.
Wrigley said this popular auction has grown from strength to strength over the last 6 years which provides the Dubbo Club with funding to host the Red Ochre Mares Classic Cup heats and final over the Easter Long Weekend as part of HRNSW Carnival of Cups Series.
Over the last six years prize money for the final has grown from $8,000 to $20,000 and the club is hoping to at least remain at this level or possibly increase it again for next years final, which will continue to make it one of the richest mare’s races in NSW.
Owners, trainers and breeders will have plenty of choice when bidding for the services which includes stallions from New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.
NSW Studs: Tinted Cloud @ Lochend Stud, Ifihadyourluck and Perfect Union @ Calderwood Farm, Sutter Hanover and Robin Hood @ Yirribee Pacing Stud, Justanotherpoorboy @ Elsmore Park, Passmaster Hanover @ Golden Gait Stud, Windradyne @ The Long Yard, Quick Approval @ Call Again Stud, Speed King @ Mimosa Bank Stud.

Wrigley was hoping for keen bidding on the services and said he would like to see a healthy return for the services being offered.
Prospective bidders can bid online in the Trading Ring at the Australian Harness Racing website www.harness.org.au
Wrigley also stated that if anyone wanted to make a bid for a service but didn’t have access to a computer they can give him a call on 0407995930 or contact DHRC secretary Marge Bradley on 02 68848606.
Bidders should also take particular notice of the closing time of the auction on Friday 27th August which will be advertised on the website.
DHRC would like to thank those long term studs who have been great supporters of the tender service since it’s invention and also pass on a warm welcome to the new studs who have joined the tender for the first time, without the support of all these studs the Red Ochre Mares Classic would not be viable to run and the DHRC greatly appreciates their commitment.
