Other Information:
The Launceston Pacing Club Inc was established in 1978 following a merger between the Northern Tasmanian Trotting Club and the Danbury Park Trotting Club.
In 1986/7 the Club moved its premises from Elphin Paceway to its current site at Tasman Park, Mowbray Racing Centre and conducts 25-27 race meetings per annum with the majority of twilight meetings conducted on Sunday evenings on a modern 1018 metre track recognised as equal to any in Australasia.
The installation of lights and the short time between races has further enhanced the exciting pacing experience at Tasman Park.
For further information phone 03 6326 5933 or email lpc@microtech.com.au.
The Future:
The charter of the club is to conduct Harness Racing at the Mowbray Racing Centre and to promote interest in harness racing in the state of Tasmania.
